Larry D. Oney

Owner & Chairman

For more than ninety years, Hammerman and Gainer International, Inc. has been an established industry leader, serving a broad array of public and private sector clients including state and local government. In 1999, Mr. Oney became the majority owner, President, and CEO of Hammerman & Gainer International, Inc. With 40+ years of experience, thoughtful leadership, and with the support of the HGI team, Mr. Oney grew the firm to become the largest minority-owned Third Party Administrator (TPA) in the United States and a leader at the forefront of the industry, priding its success on matching resources with the direct needs of its clients to mitigate their exposure to risk and preserve their assets.

As a testament to the long-term stability of the company, Mr. Oney currently serves as the owner and Chairman of HGI and after serving as the Executive Vice President and President for over 10 years, the baton of day-to-day leadership has been passed to Chris Oney, who now serves as the President & CEO of HGI.

Christopher J. Oney

CEO

In his capacity as Executive Vice President, Chris expanded the organization into the project management and disaster recovery area, generating over $100M in revenue in just 12 months.

As the second generation at the helm of this family company, Chris strategically repositioned HGI into providing a broader array of services covering diverse industries.

While Chris assumed the executive operational responsibility of the organization, he simultaneously earned a Ph.D. in Divinity.

The Oneys are actively involved in philanthropy and building up under-served communities by investing in smaller minority-owned firms, mentoring, and incubating start-ups when possible.
